Written in the thread Sarge's Coffee Shop.
Hello Sarge,
Wanted to stop by the coffee shop and spend some time with you all.
I put the coffee pot on and placed the chairs in to a circle.
Its been a while since we had a open meeting and yes I brought the sweet rolls.
We had a great Thanksgiving meal for the folks here in Caldwell.
There were many old friends there and everyone ate their fill,
some were able to take home plates.
I was asked to speak and I shared some stories from street ministry
and brought the word to all in attendance.
After the meeting a man followed me to out side
He asked me where I was headed?
No he didn't need a place to go to,
he wanted to spend some time with me.
I shared that I have plenty of time.
We talked for a while and he shared his life's story.
I know that God had brought him out to talk to me.
The coffee is done and I found the big cups anyone else want some Joe?
The rolls were on the top of the stove so the frosting
is dripping so you will need extra paper towels.
The man who followed me outside had heard the word,
and stories and God touched him.
I asked him if he ever gave his heart to God?
He shared that yes he had but, but,
I stopped him and shared that there is nothing that God wants more
than to renew himself into your life right now.
This man asked Jesus to be his Lord and Savior he gave his heart to God.
The meal he had eaten filled his belly he needed more.
God filled his heart with his word and the love of Jesus.
Some folks just don't take the time to let God have his way.
A little more Joe for me to warm up my cup.
There is no words to explain how God places us in the life's of others.
For such a time just like the meal we just ate, and heard,
someone had to pay...
Jesus paid the price so that we all can have a full heart.
This season of fellowship and family will offer up the love of Jesus.
Let us all pray for God to use us
in his special way to reach out to a stranger.
Bring forth the word in Jesus name.
Amen
